| HAWES CARESWe recognize there are many families in our school community who are struggling to make ends meet or who have suffered a loss and could use some help. That is why "Hawes Cares" has been started. Anonymous gift assistance in the form of gas cards, grocery cards, and scrip cards can be brought to the "Hawes Cares" tub in the front office. Our principal, Heidi Harvey, will be connecting confidentially to benefit our families in need. We look forward to "Hawes Cares" making a positive difference with your help.
Are You a PTA Member?
Board Elections are coming up and you must be a PTA member for at least 30 days prior in order to vote. It is not too late to join and membership is only $8 per school year. Envelopes are available in the front office. Every member matters and your support is appreciated!
Book Orders for Author's Day Due Monday!
Book order forms for Up and Running (Ages 16+) andRunning Free (All Ages) were sent home in your child's backpack or you can click here for the Author's Day Book Order Form. This is your last chance to purchase the books to have them autographed by the author, Jami Goldman, in time for Author's Day. Author's Day is Monday, February 27th and the students will get to see Jami in action when she returns to Hawes on February 29th to run with the children in the Jog-A-Thon!

Kids Run the OC Starts Monday!Bring your running shoes! This after school program is twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays, 2:45 - 3:30, February 6 - April 2. The children will be running 25.2 miles during a 12 week running program, finishing the final mile on race day, May 5, at the OC Fairgrounds.
